about me

I am a wife, a mom, and a friend. I have a disabled child, she is the middle of five offspring. I have a child who is mentally ill. Pursuing a diagnosis.

I am learning to live with an autoimmune disorder and heart problems. They have completely changed me, in mostly good ways.

I have a prodigal son who left home ten years ago. I miss him every day. He’s twenty-six.

I grew up in a scary family. Satanic Ritual Abuse.  Basically, it is Like a Viet Cong POW camp complete with torture and gross body stuff….but for little kids.  (Sorry if I just triggered you. Jesus.  You know.   please help my friend.)  …………I have flashbacks. I am learning to fight 💪.

I enjoy dealing with life as it is, not as it should be.

I have been through a lot of hard things, and I want to encourage other soldiers, and share hope and truth  and joy in my world.

I love Jesus. He is the reason my life doesn’t suck. I am crazy happy, actually. Well, mostly. 😉

I want to pay it forward.

Loneliness…a disease of affluence? 💚

I was just praying with some of my peeps online this morning,
And as I was asking Jesus to help me in my lonely isolated state…(And feeling sorry for myself I own—gag me with a rototiller)…

I heard a Quiet Voice.

Yes.  I will help.  💚 lonely…I remember that.  Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, remember? Many lonely hearts in the western world these days. Poor darlings. 💚

Jesus on 💚 lonely 💚 heartsore and 💚 on the backside of the desert.💚

“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Beside the point 💚

My current favorite feel good movie–

I asked to watch it on Mother’s Day  (when my family would do anything I asked within sane limits).

Right up there with Sisteract and Enchanted April and Galaxy Quest.

drum roll…..

Joyful Noise
with Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton.

I love this movie because it is about so many of us who were raised in church and struggle with an inability to live up to the idealisticanddeservedlysogoodgirlmorality from growing up in church.

I love this because it gives a glimpse to me of a world where they don’t talk of idealism or even morality because it is beside the point.  They are too busy looking at God and breathing in His goodness and wholeness and peace to worry about such things; resultanty they are often  breathing out the same stuff to worry about it. *

Thank you Jesus for a world where such things exist. 💚

Ps   Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton… I’m proud to be your sister.  Grin.

Pps  I DEFinitely want to do coffee in heaven.
