I was thinking about grandparenting.
I was thinking about midlife.
NOT what I signed on for, that’s what.
As I was reading this psalm it suddenly dawned on me:
David was probably saying this without parents. Without supportive family. Without friends. He was probably on the run, homeless, and sleeping in caves at this point in his life.
I think he is saying that he has a good inheritance by faith. Or he is talking about something other than his grandchildren around him and a lot of warm family connections and a fat retirement portfolio or a nurturing home life.
He’s talking about God. That’s what. 🌻
